Failpire #1 – Page Turner and Nikki Parker

July 6, 2008

Sadly the show was not saved on stickam because we crashed at the 45 minute mark. We think we have a failsafe in place for the next show, so even if we crash we’ll have it saved. Also Stickam is going to try Monday to see if they can catch the show hidden in the nets and recover it. – Cross your fingers –

In the mean time you can at least see thees two gorgeous blonds saying goodbye.

Here’s what you missed on the show :

* True Blood the vampire show, 5 episodes featuring our dreaded beauty Page Turner
* Glam God A new reality show
* Jamie’s Crying – with Nikki Parker in an up coming video
* Life as a Lobster Written by Page – Thanks for my copy and I’ll get that Lobster illustration done soon

Snagged a few quick pics after the show, here’s one just to wet your whistle folks

Stickam review

Sorry Mom they got me. I’m on stickam’s most popular web tabloid. This is what I get for mocking Chris Crocker

Such is life. But thank god I kept my pants on.
Actually the lads over at noodz central caught wind of my Put it Back petition and have it featured in their latest blog entry.

Support is growing rapidly. So pass it along, link it, do whatever you can. All your Stickams R Belong to US!

Day 2: Put it Back

February 15, 2008

So among the beautiful new features of stickam is disappearing camslots. As a guest in someone’s room, as windows are bounced around to and from the main screen you’ll start to see something awesome.
Something like this.

Yep multiple hosts or undefined blank slots will take over.

Way to go Beta Test Stickam.

As a quick fix, try ignoring and then unignoring the people you can’t see.

For a better fix.

Put it Back!

Stickam review

Dear Stickam,

Thank you so much for fixing the email composer. Awesome. 2 years and that thing finaly seems to delete without erasing carriage returns.

And thanks for making it possible to record whomever the host puts in the big window.

BUT why, why have you decided to take away people’s ability to decide for themselves what they want to watch? This isn’t JustinTV, this isn’t Operator11. The beauty of stickam has always been that is was a social media, that Chat was essential.

It wasn’t programming. Yes there are shows and yes there are chat rooms. But don’t force a format. Either revert to the previous set up, or hey make the over ride optional to ppl that want to steal the big screen.

Let people close out windows. Don’t make it a host choice. Let the host master a master desicion to kick someone’s cam. but people should be able to close cams as well.

Also it lags horribly. Horribly!

Dear Stickers.. Stickamers… whatever,

Let’s take it bac. Leave a comment below with your screen name (or whatever) and let stickam know you want it changed back. Grab the little graphic button and post it everywhere, tell others to sign this petition and take it back.

Let your voice be heard.

It’s Cold in LA

January 21, 2008

The three headsThis was the weekend from hell and back. It was amazing, it was draining, it was a god damn memory bitch!

I’m not about to try and account for everything that happened, at least not right now. Maybe. This weekend was the gathering. This weekend was chance I had to do something amazing for work. This week I got to meet my friends. It’s such an odd feeling, knowing these face these personalities you see on screen all the time, on youtube, on stickam, where ever. I can almost understand how people think the characters on TV are real people. almost.

You meet up with these people you’ve never really know and you find out, yea you have. You’ve always know this person. you’ve always had a place in your heart fof them, you just didn’t know who filled the gap.

So this in short was the 2nd annual LA gathering. I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I expected something a bit smaller, a bit more hectic, a bit more “who are you, who are you, who are you!” But all in all it was just the right size. I got time to talk to people I’d never heard of before. I got to meet old acquaintances and new friends, and often a combination of the two.

This morning I got a hundred messages from people that had made it home safely (thank god). Almost all the kiddies are back in their safe little beds tucked away. It’s a holiday, but I’m at work. making up for lost time, waiting for opportunity. It’s cold in LA, gray, it knows what’s been and gone. Thank God San Fran is only a month away.

more to come.

Right after work I met up with the gang, LittlepandaExpress, Mollyz2000, Chelsea and Tim. We hung at the cafe, drank coffee, there where expensive sanwhiches (yay you’re in LA grilled cheese 8 dolla’), giggles, gaufaws and awkward silences. good times. Then we headed back to my place and slipped in to something more comfortable. Oh wait I mean hung out till Tony came home, said a few words and fell asleep on his couch while we waited for SarahB to show up. We stayed up way too long, and I got about 4 hours of sleep. But oddly I’m completely awake, right now. I expect this to pass soon and I’ll fall in to some kind of waking comma. Can’t to see everyone tonight, there will be even more peeps. Eek.
